The war with the orcs presented in the Gothic series is usually called "the second orc war". The main issue lies with what is considered "the first orc war". I had some problems with this term after paying attention to a few dialogues in-game and seeing this video:

Candidates for the "first orc war" as it follows in the video are:
Rhobar I's war against the orcs at the founding of Myrtana (which I don't believe to be 50 years ago and I don't believe Rhobar I to be Rhobar II's predecessor since the kingdom of Myrtana seems like an older entitiy- but that is a discussion for another day)
A war 60-70 years ago when the orcs temporarily conquered the Myrtanian mainland and enslaved that people- which happened during Zuben's youth as a renowned gladiator.
A centuries-ago war that involved the original bearer of Uriziel
Then there is also an orc war with an unknown date that Harad participated in, he mentions this in a dialogue in Gothic 2 after you bring him an orc weapon to him, something along the lines of "I haven't touched an orc weapon since the orc war".
If we add this one too, there are 4 candidates to the title of "first orc war". It is clear the worldbuilding around that wasn't a set in stone for Piranha Bytes.
So my proposal is let's not use the terms "first orc war" and "second orc war" in articles. Let's instead call, for example the war that takes place in the Gothic games something like "Rhobar II's war against the orcs" or "Rhobar II's orc war". This way it will make sense.
What do you guys think?
